Abstract

The article presents news on medicine. Research from New York State Psychiatric Institute of Columbia University found that people with dysthymia, or consistently poor moods, were more likely to have physical and emotional problems than those with acute depression. Research in the "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences" found that the human brain can shrink up to 15% as it ages. Research from the University of California has found risk factors for Alzheimer's disease.
