Abstract

Brachioradial pruritus is a deep itching or a very intense burning sensation in the anterior region of the third distal of the upper arms and the third proximal of the forearms, corresponding to the region of the brachioradial muscle. The condition has been associated with solar radiation, and orthopedic lesions in the cervical spine has also been raised. The author presents two patients suffering from brachioradial pruritus who have been treated with thalidomide, producing excellent results. This paper has the aim of proposing a new therapeutic option for this hard-to-be-treated disease. ©2005 by Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia.
