Taxonomic studies of alternaria from China VI. New species and new records to China on Cruciferae, Cucurbitaceae, and Euphorbiaceae

Abstract

4 new species of Alternaria and 4 new records to China in the same genus are reported. They are: Alternaria napiformis (new rec.) on Cruciferae; A. luffae sp. nov. and A. peponicola (new rec.) on Cucurbitaceae; A. kansuiae sp. nov., A. biproliformis sp. nov., A. manihotis sp. nov., A. euphorbiae (new rec.) and A. compacta (new rec.) on Euphorbiaceae. Latin diagnoses and illustrations of the new species are provided. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in Herbarium of Shandong Agricultural University: Plant Pathology (HSAUP).
