Abstract

Digital journalism has undergone constant transformations in its first 25 years, in which the way of telling stories has changed as the different species of the ecosystem appeared and became interrelated. After a phase of significant experimentation in narrative formats adapted to the digital environment, it is necessary to evaluate the aspects that remain and their evolution in the production of online media. Based on content analysis in a selection of ten online media and interviews with professionals, the formats and characteristics that have been produced with a narrative development are identified. The results indicate that there is significant experimentation that has led to certain features and forms of expression from disruption to consolidation, depending on the degree of adoption and innovation, although the presence of complex multimedia and interactive projects in the daily news is still extraordinary.
