Abstract

Side channel attacks are well-known thread to ciphers in real world. In this paper, we give a CNN based profiled side channel attacks on AES cipher implemented on HI Silicon Kirin 620 SoC, which is a 1.2GHz multi-core platform. With 100,000 acquired side channel traces to train, the CNN have ability to recover real key byte under 1,000 traces, even though the traces are misaligned.
