Abstract
The article offers news briefs about infectious diseases in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) collaborates with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and public health officials in two states to examine a typhoid fever outbreak. A report from the CDC showed that more than 40% of girls in the country have received vaccines against cancers, meningitis and infectious diseases. The government proposed changes to how it works with companies to combat new disease threats.
