Abstract
Background: Adolescent reproductive health is an important issue that needs attention. The problem that often arises is an infection of the reproductive organs caused by the lack of education about reproductive health in adolescents. Women who are entering their teenage years are prone to experiencing reproductive health problems. This is due to physical, psychological, and social changes as well as the influence of foreign culture which considers talking about reproductive health to be taboo. Objective: to determine the effect of providing education on knowledge about reproductive health in adolescents. Methods: This type of research was quasi-experimental with one group, pretest-posttest design with a sample of 121 respondents, and purposive sampling data collection method. The data collection technique was by providing pretest and posttest questionnaires with Wilcoxon data analysis. Result: The results showed that there was an effect of education on adolescents' knowledge of reproductive health with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05). Recommendation: This study recommended providing education to young women as one of the interventions to improve reproductive health status.
