Design and development of a virtual reality based track cycling simulator

Abstract

Malaysia Track cycling team has achieved great achievement for the past few years. However, the athlete still facing difficulty of training in this country as we are lack of training facilities. This paper is consist of the design and development of a virtual reality based track cycling simulator to provide a cost saving and portable training facilities for the track cycling athlete and potential athletes. The virtual reality system allow the cyclist to immerse in the virtual environment based on real velodrome track.
