The innovation is the most important engine for companies' prosperity. A strategy for new product development is required for the development of new products and its organizational structure must be clearly aligned to an innovation culture.A tool for innovation management in the Fuzzy Front End (FFE) of new product development is proposed. The tool framework adopts a technology management approach. The method starts with the establishment of technological fronts derived from the technological businesses strategy. For each front, maps of relative technological position against competitors and scientific and technological knowledge are constructed. Technological gaps are determined and, in order to diminish them, technological projects are develop which must be supported with knowledge acquisition from competitive intelligence (market and technological).
