Abstract
We summarize the state of the art of baryogenesis with particular attention to thermal leptogenesis, according to which the baryon asymmetry in the Universe is produced at very high temperatures from the decay of heavy righ-handed neutrinos, and to electroweak baryogenesis, where the baryon asymmetry is generated at the electroweak phase transition.
