Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To determine the effectiveness of TENS in the management of chronic LBP. We will compare TENS (either alone or in combination with another treatment) to placebo, no treatment, or other interventions for chronic LBP and evaluate outcomes in terms of pain intensity, back-specific functional status, general health, work disability, and patient satisfaction. A secondary objective is to determine the most effective dosage and intensity of TENS for chronic LBP.
