Abstract

In this evolving world there is an even increasing energy demand form alternate and green sources; one of the best solution is large scale installation of PV cells. Photo voltaic solar panels consume the land area, including huge land acquisition and related costs. Floating solar panel structure over the water bodies is the best-suited alternative for overcoming this problem. This research aims to examine the Floating PV structure, with conventional and proposed methods of installation and cooling. solar panel, prevent evaporation of water and subsequently provide evaporative cooling, and Increase in generating efficiency with additional cooling techniques. Experimentation and simulation carried out show an efficiency improvement of about 15% is observed with the proposed system.
