Abstract

A Reprodução Assistida é um campo do conhecimento pertinente para pensar mudanças e progressos no qual os avanços da ciência e da tecnologia oferecem recursos inúmeros para o tratamento da infertilidade humana. Diante do novo que nos surpreende sempre, podemos citar mitos, escritos religiosos e acontecimentos na história da humanidade, que já tentavam dizer sobre o mistério e a busca da revelação do desconhecido, no campo indizível da origem do ser humano, em sua fertilidade e/ou infertilidade. Testemunhamos situações delicadas que demandam respostas éticas, para legislar questões que “escapam” do objetivável do discurso e avanço da ciência. Posição delicada: com a evolução do conhecimento e as técnicas disponíveis para os tratamentos em geral, precisamos considerar também o caso absolutamente singular “daquele sujeito e sua história”.
