Abstract
The current study aimed to examine the mediating influence of technological vigilance on the relationship between E-HRM practices (E-Recruitment, E-Employment, E-Training, E-Compensation, E-Communication, and EEvaluation) and sustainable employee retention within the banking sector in Jordan. The quantitative approach was adopted and a questionnaire was utilized and distributed to a convenience sample of (87) managers and officers within HRM department of the banking sector in Jordan. SPSS was employed in order to screen and analyze primary data. Results of the study indicated that the main hypothesis was accepted and that technological vigilance appeared in the relationship between E-HRM practices and sustainable retention of employees. In other words, it was found that the better IT infrastructure and technology awareness in the organization, the more reliable and consistent E-HRM practices are and the more able to increase employee retention in a sustainable approach. The study recommended assisting higher management in reorganizing and restructuring electronic administrative bodies, encouraging creativity and innovation initiatives, opening new channels for providing services, and improving electronic human resources management practices. Further recommendations were presented.
