Abstract
Despite the increasing importance of comparative constitutional law in legal research, the scope in which this area of knowledge is studied, researched and taught in Brazilian higher education institutions is still unclear. It is possible to identify that there are no studies that specify the approach to the area in Brazilian universities and colleges, as well as the methodological criteria adopted by researchers. Therefore, this article aims to contribute to an initial diagnosis of the comparative constitutional law study in the country, based on data collection and empirical research to verify the existence of teaching and research initiatives or activities that, in some way, address comparative constitutional law in different regions and higher education institutions in Brazil.
