Abstract
In this research include preparation three steps of the new derivatives of Sulfamethoxazole drug, the first step involved converting Sulfamethoxazole to Schiff's bases (1), by reaction Sulfamethoxazole with different specific aldehydes in ethanol, presence in glacial acetic acid. While the second step involved reaction Schiff's bases (1) with sodium azide in presence of Benzene (dry) to give new tetrazole derivatives (2). Finally, The third reaction requires synthesis of thiazolidine (3) by reaction of Schiff's bases (1) with 2-mercaptoacetic acid. The prepared compounds were characterized by physical properties, and somewhat of them by IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, and study biologic efficacy against two types of bacteria.
