O Tempo no Mundo Contemporâneo: o tempo escolar e a justiça curricular

Abstract

Resumo: A educação escolar constitui um espaço de disputa de poder, que se expressa mais enfaticamente pela luta por definir os currículos, os quais se encontram contaminados pelo ritmo da economia global e pela busca de resultados em rankings nacionais e internacionais. Como uma das consequências, a escola está às voltas com um cotidiano veloz e imediatista, que privilegia um tempo esvaziado de reflexão. Nesse contexto, aprofundou-se significativamente um problema já existente, o do tempo educativo escolar, objeto deste artigo que propõe o currículo como um instrumento social de responsabilidade coletiva, que visa à justiça social. Busca-se caracterizar o tempo de construção da formação como um dos aspectos importantes do currículo escolar.Abstract: School education constitutes a locus of power struggles, expressed most emphatically by the battle to define curricula, which are contaminated by the pace of the global economy and by the search for results in national and international educational rankings. In consequence, the school is facing a fast and immediatist routine that favors a time emptied of reflection. In this context, an existing problem was significantly deepened: the 'school time', object of this paper, which proposes the curriculum as a social instrument of collective responsibility, aiming at social justice. The goal is to characterize the time in which education is built as one of the most important aspects of the school curriculum.
