Abstract
The above article, published online on 03 December 2019 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal Editor in Chief, Dr. A. Klein, the Association of Anaesthetists and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. The retraction has been agreed due to double trial registration, which the authors failed to disclose at the time of submission. Since being alerted to the double trial registration, members of the editorial team have re-analysed the patient data and have determined that the original analyses and results were incorrect and the conclusions drawn can no longer be relied upon.
