Abstract

This article, the fourth in a series looking at regional tent rental markets in the US, focuses on the West - the largest and climatically most diverse part of the country. Tourism, resorts and events that celebrate the region's natural beauty are mainstays of this market. In a few major urban areas, corporate events - many connected to the entertainment industry - provide different opportunities for tent manufacture and rental. Businesses in southern California and elsewhere in the southwest must be prepared to comply with strict code enforcement by local authorities, as well as funding increased insurance costs.
