Abstract
This research aims to determine the response of stakeholders from junior secondary education units at driving schools in implementing the independent curriculum. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with a case study method. The research location was at SMP Negeri 1 Bireuen, SMP Negeri 2 Bireuen and SMP Negeri 4 Bireuen. With informants consisting of school supervisors, school principals, educators, students and parents from three driving schools in Bireuen Regency. Research findings regarding the response of educational unit stakeholders in driving schools to the practice of implementing the independent curriculum, it can be stated that stakeholders contribute positively in every process of implementing the independent curriculum both in understanding the independent curriculum, policies in implementing the independent curriculum, as well as the impact of implementing the independent curriculum on student learning outcomes. Obstacles and challenges that may arise include priority views, limited time and resources and unequal representation of change. Recommendations for educational units that have not yet graduated from the driving school program are to increase stakeholder involvement in the.
