Abstract

In the original publication of the article, figure caption, figure citations and acknowledgement text were incorrect and it is updated in this correction. The caption of Fig. 1 should read as HPLC of (a) Coconut coir XOS (b) Sugarcane baggase XOS. The caption of Fig. 2 should read as HPLC chromatograph of (a) Coconut coir Xylan (b) Sugarcane bagasse Xylan where X1 indicates xylose, X2 indicates xylobiose, and X3 indicates Xylotriose. In the page number 318 the citation of Fig. 2 is added and to be read as: The HPLC chromatograph of extracted xylan showed peaks at 12.351 min of sugarcane bagasse and 12.395 min for coconut coir xylan (Fig. 2). In the page number 320, the citation of Fig. 3 has been changed to Fig. 1 should be read after ‘‘xylose X1, respectively’’ and the citation of Fig. 2 has been changed to Fig. 3 should be read after ‘‘69.2 ppm’’. The citation of Fig 1 after ‘‘1047.9 cm-1 stands deleted’’.
