Implicações do BSC nas práticas cotidianas que envolvem a gestão de pessoas: estudo de caso em uma instituição de educação profissional

Abstract

Resumo Uma lacuna ainda presente na literatura diz respeito à forma como as pessoas reagem às pressões para o alcance das metas estabelecidas pelo Balanced Scorecard (BSC) nas organizações. O presente artigo avalia e discute a repercussão da ênfase das questões objetivas na relação da empresa com seus colaboradores, a partir da análise do processo no qual o BSC gera implicações nas práticas cotidianas que envolvem a gestão de pessoas. A discussão teórica se faz com base nas representações sociais das práticas de gestão de pessoas, enquanto a avaliação das implicações segue a abordagem preconizada por Pagès et al. (1987) sobre o exercício do poder nas organizações. A legitimação teórica é feita por meio do estudo de caso de uma instituição de educação profissional com recente experiência na implantação do BSC, tendo os dados sido tratados com base em proposições teóricas, resultado da revisão bibliográfica e de interpretações da pesquisa.Abstract Still a gap in the literature with regard to how people react to pressures to achieve the goals established by the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) in organizations. This paper evaluates and discusses the impact of the emphasis of objective questions on the company’s relationship with its employees, from the analysis of the process in which the BSC has implications in everyday practices involving the management of people. The theoretical discussion is made on the basis of the social representations of the management practices of people while assessing the implications follows the approach advocated by Pagès et al. (1987) on the exercise of power in organizations. The theoretical legitimization is done through the case study of an institution of professional education with recent experience in the implementation of the BSC, and the data were treated based on theoretical propositions, the result of the literature review and interpretation of research.
