Abstract

The purpose of this commentary is to identify some impediments that affect successful implementation of e-finance initiatives in developing countries. These impediments are not adequately addressed in the UNCTAD 2002 report. We need to overcome these to be able to move forward with implementing e-finance related initiatives in developing countries. It is hoped that by implementing e-finance initiatives, we will be able to achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goal.
