Abstract

This chapter proposed a definite set of constitutions aimed at solving current problems and a move toward sustainability. The constitutions are divided according to level. Some have general validity and should be implemented everywhere and form the basis of a new world governance structure, others are more specific and pertain to regions or current nations, while specific community issues are dealt within a proposed local constitution. The concretisation of the paragraphs in these constitutions is meant to make it easier to discuss and criticise the underlying ideas, not to provide a final solution to social and economic set-up. Following the presentation of and comments on the suggested global, regional and local constitutions, this book ends on a note of conditional optimism, comparing the strong and resourceful opposition that a sustainable solution will get from the currently richest 1% of the world population and the advantages that the rest would receive if capable of sorting out the information and propaganda imposed upon them and act upon this knowledge.
