Abstract

The liquid phase boundaries in the CaO-Al2O3-MgO, CaO-Al2O3-ZrO2, CaO-SiO2-TiO2, CaO-SiO2-MgO and CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 ternary slags were determined at 1 873 K by using a slag-crucible (CaO, MgO, Al2O3 and ZrO2-11mol%CaO) equilibration technique. The equilibrium phase at crucible-slag interface was determined by a microprobe analysis.
