Abstract
This news section offers Cancer readers timely information on events, public policy analysis, topical issues, and personalities. In this issue, we take a closer look at the confusion surrounding a recent study that seemed to indicate that colonoscopies are not as effective as commonly thought at detecting colorectal cancer. In addition, new research provides a better understanding of the role of type XII collagen in the biology and progression of breast cancer, and results of a recent phase 1 study examine the feasibility, safety, and therapeutic potential of “off‐the‐shelf” chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell therapy for children with aggressive leukemia.
