Abstract
his descriptive qualitative study on health articulates art in the form of plastic production and Gestalt psichotherapy, in the context of early intervention with preterm babies in hospital. Aimed to facilitate the process of baby reframing, identifying the subjective difficulties in the family-preterm baby; to encourage families to anticipate the baby as a subject in training; and facilitate the emergence of creative family potential regarding prematurity. For this, was used the description of seven group therapy sessions, with 79 companions and 61 babies, the database of psychology service of Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit Kangaroo, a national referral center, from February to April 2012. The phenomenological interpretative analysis of the data revealed that the art therapy favors a potential space for the baby to be placed by his family as a subject in training, enabling a dialogical relationship with new significations around pre-term newborn. Therefore, this group psychotherapy in the neonatal unit appears as an intervention proposal to psychology in the context of strengthening of Kangaroo Care in Brazil.
