Abstract

Spontaneously occurred canine mammary tumours (70) were treated with chemotherapy (doxorubicin), immunotherapy (ImmuPlus), adjuvant chemotherapy and by surgical therapy. In chemotherapy group the Hb and TEC values reduced significantly (.P<0.05) from the base line value at 2nd week of therapy. Histologically, benign and malignant mixed tumours were predominant. Doxorubicin and herbal drug “ImmuPlus” were found effective in the treatment of canine mammary tumours. ImmuPlus has been found as good immunomodulatory drug in cancer chemotherapy. © GSP, India.
