Abstract

Two new aromatic alkaloids, designated citrinamides A and B, were isolated from the culture broth of Penicillium sp. FKI-1938 by solvent extraction, silica gel column chromatography and HPLC. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, including NMR and amino acid analysis. Citrinamides A and B showed moderate potentiation of miconazole activity against Candida albicans. © Japan Antibiotics Research Association.
