TYPOLOGY OF ARCHITECTURE OF INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS AT THE TURN OF THE 20 TH AND 21ST CENTURY

Abstract

The paper is dedicated to the typology of modern industrial facilities. A typological classification was distinguished according to the structure: objects that are enclosures for industrial process-es, single-storey blocked buildings and multi-storey buildings. In line with the types of functional and spatial organisation there were distinguished: an additive-linear organisation : center, comb and directional, two-way additive organisation: mesh, ring - peripheral systems, agglomerate and integration organization of industrial buildings. The work hypothesizes that some of the organisa-tion types of industrial buildings can be adapted by public use buildings utilities due to the flexi-bility and adaptability of typological solutions in the architecture of industrial facilities.
