Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of strength and plyometric training p on physical fitness variables of college Female Volleyball players.To achieve the purpose of the study 30 subjects were randomly selected from Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University) Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, were selected randomly as subject for this study. The subjects were randomly assigned to two equal groups (n=15). Purpose of thirty Female Volleyball players selected from, All the subjects were divided in to two groups with Fifteen (15) subjects each as experimental and control group. The selected subjects were divided into two equal groups with 15 subjects in each group. The experimental group-I (N=15) underwent strength training and control group (N=15) did not undergo any practices the data were collected before and after the training period of 8 weeks and the data collected were statistically analysed with ‘t’ ratio, which was used to find out the significant difference on selected physical fitness variables of arm strength and leg strength. Strength training programme showed significant improvement in arm and leg strength
