POTENSI WISATA MUSEUM PURBAKALA POPA-EYATO SEBAGAI ETALASE BUDAYA DI PROVINSI GORONTALO

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui potensi wisata museum purbakala Popa Eyato yang ada di Provinsi Gorontalo sebagai etalase budaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yaitu potensi wisata museum purbakala Popa-Eyato sebagai etalasae 1) wisata edukasi  yang dapat memberikan pembelajaran sejarah budaya di kalangan pelajar baik TK, Paud, siswa SD, SMA sampai Mahasiswa, sehingga Siswa lebih kreatif, inovatif dan mandiri dalam belajar. 2) Informasi bagi masyarakat luas bahwa wisata museum menjadi salah satu pilihan untuk dikunjungi dalam menikmati kota terutama dalam mempelajari sejarah di masa lampau secara langsung, dengan membangun sistem informasi museum yang dapat diakses oleh semua kalangan dan menarik masyarakat untuk mengunjungi museum. 3) wisata budaya sejarah yang mampu menarik perhatian wisatawan untuk melihat koleksi hasil  peningggalan  budaya masyarakat zaman dahulu secara langsung sesuai dengan misi museum yaitu sarana rekreasi bersifat kultural. Kata kunci: Museum, Wisata Budaya, Popa-Eyato  AbstractThe aim of this research is to determine the tourism potential of the Popa Eyato archaeological museum in Gorontalo Province as a cultural showcase. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the research are: Development of the potential of the Popa-Eyato archaeological museum as showcase 1) educational tourism which can provide cultural history learning among students both kindergarten, pre-school, elementary, high school and college students, thus training students to be more creative, innovative and independent in the learning process. 2) Information for the wider community that museum tourism is an option to visit to enjoy the city, especially in studying past history directly, by building a museum information system that can be accessed by all groups and attracts people to visit museums. 3) historical cultural tourism which is able to attract the attention of tourists to see the collection of cultural relics of ancient people directly in accordance with the mission of the museum, namely cultural recreation facilities. Keywords: Museum, Cultural Tourism, Popa-Eyato
