Abstract
Purpose – Padusan Village presents various business opportunities as a renowned tourist destination, yet most of its local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) predominantly focus on agricultural and food products, overlooking the potential of souvenir sales. Recognizing this, the State University of Malang initiated efforts to provide education on ecoprint techniques, utilizing vegetation diversity to create unique souvenirs. The goal is to enhance the community's skills, foster the production of signature Padusan Village souvenirs, and stimulate economic growth. Design/methodology/approach – The service activity, involving training and mentoring, proceeded smoothly with active participant engagement. Findings – The results indicate an improvement in skills within the Padusan Village community for crafting ecoprint handicrafts, opening up new business opportunities. Originality/value – This initiative not only addresses the lack of souvenir offerings but also contributes to the economic advancement of Padusan Village, reinforcing its identity as a developing tourist destination.
