is the Associate University Librarian for Digital Library Systems at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She is the architect and principal investigator for the NSF-funded Moving Image Collections project (http:// mic.imtc.gatech.edu/) as well as a lead developer for the New Jersey Digital Highway, a statewide digital library initiative (http://www.njdigitalhighway.org/). She is the author or co-author of numerous articles on metadata, digital video and digital rights management. She is the co-author of the book, Getting Mileage out ofMetadata (ALA, 1999) and is currently authoring a book, Digital Rights Management, a Practical Guide for Libraries, for Chandos Press (2006, forthcoming). She is the chair of the Metadata Working Group for the New Jersey Digital Highway. She also serves as metadata advisor for PBCore, the metadata initiative of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
