Abstract

Desiccant dehumidifier is a suitable device in humid control working places, in the humidity controlled method in the air by a chemical absorption technique. In this present work solar assisted liquid desiccant technique operated as a cross flow method, here liquid CaCl2 as the desiccant agent. A suitable evacuated solar thermal energy system used for regenerator the system operated variable mass flow rate of air, desiccant concentration and desiccant temperature. The effectiveness of dehumidifier checked, it shows an inversely proportion to mass flow rate i.e., decreased with increase in mass flow rate, desiccant temperature, and the effectiveness of the system increased by increase in desiccant concentration.
