Abstract

The synthesis of octakis(2,3-di-O-propionyl-6-0-tert-butyldimethylsilyl)-γ-cyclodextrin and its use as chiral stationary phase in capillary gas chromatography is described. Separation factors and thermodynamic parameters of several chiral compounds on two columns with different cyclodextrin content and different polysiloxanes as diluting phase are investigated. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, inc.
