Abstract

A natural out come of chan nge in technology, new app proaches towards teaching a and learning have emerged and the applicability o f the flipped classroom method, a new e educational str rategy, in the field of education has start ted to be discussed. It was aimed w with the study y to examine e the effect o f using flippe ed classroom method in a academic achievements and motivatio ons of students s and reveal th he student opinions. The qua asi-experimental method was s used in this study an nd the partici pants were 50 0 sophomores that studying Elementary Mathematics Education in n a state university. Th he results of th e study shows that flipped cl lassroom method does not ha ave a significant effect on im mproving students' perc ceptions of te chnology use, and the stude ents in the experimental gr roup were mo re successful and had higher levels of motivation than the stud dents in the co ntrol group. I t was also rev vealed that the students had positive thoughts abou ut the impleme ntation of flip ed classroom p m method.
