Abstract

Surgical outcome is largely dependent on the anatomy of the involved area. Gingival architecture whether thin or thick has an influence on the disease progression as well as treatment outcome. This important and yet often neglected anatomical factor needs an emphasizedduring treatment planning as they respond differently to different periodontal and restorative procedures.
