Abstract

Edutainment learning media based on augmented reality is a new medium in mathematics learning and is interesting to develop. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the media from the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness oriented to the interest in learning geometry in 8th grade junior high school students. The development model is ADDIE with qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods from questionnaires of validity, practicality, and student interest. The results of the study showed that augmented reality-based edutainment learning media was feasible to use in increasing students' learning interest. Based on validity assessment of the expert, the learning media and material were valid with a high category on a scale 102 < X ≤ 126 for media and 85 < X ≤ 105 for material. The learning media and material were practical with a high category on a scale 51 < X ≤ 63 assessed by teacher and student. Then, the average of classical students' interest assessments increased from pretest with a score 68.593 to posttest with a score 76.687 and there were 75% of students have a minimum learning interest in high category on the posttest.
