New classification system for Oscillatoriales, Cyanophyceae

Abstract

In 2005, Cyanoprokaryota 2 (Osillatoriales) was published in S ora von Mitteleuropa. This new classifi cation system refl ects modern physiological, molecular, biochemical, ecological and ultrastructural information as well as data obtained using traditional approaches. The new system classifi es Oscillatoriales into six families, Pseudanabaenaceae，Schizotrichaceae, Borziaceae, Phormidiaceae, Gomontiellaceae and Oscillatoriaceae based on the width of trichomes, position of thylakoids inside the cells, type of cell division, presence or absence of sheaths and number of trichomes in a sheath. These new oscillatorialean families and several important or revised genera are briefl y presented in this article. Komrek and Anagnostidis (2005) は藍藻ユレモ目について，藻体および細胞の形態や増殖方法に加 え，細胞の分裂様式，細胞壁の構造や細胞質内のチラコイドの配列を含む微細構造，生化学的性質，お よび遺伝子情報などに基づいて分類体系を提案し，種を記載している。この分類体系では，ユレモ目 （Oscillatoriales） に Pseudanabaenaceae，Schizotrichaceae，Borziaceae，Phormidiaceae，Gomontiellaceae お よび Oscillatoriaceae の 6 科が設けられている。一方，多くの新属を含み， かなり大幅な学名の変更が行 われているという点には注意が必要である。そこで本稿では，各科および主要な属や大きく変更された 属について簡単に解説する。新しい分類体系に基づいた学名を使用することにより，世界各国のデータ との比較が容易となり，陸水学的研究の発展が促進されるものと考える。 キーワード：分類，藍藻，ユレモ目，鞘，トリコーム （2011 年 5 月 30 日受付；2012 年 2 月 13 日受理）
