Reflexões sobre a influência do fator cultural no processo de atendimento de Terapia Ocupacional

Abstract

The complexity of questione which emerge from the attendance with individuais from different origins and, most of the time, different from the therapis, himself, shows us that a partial vision of the person isn't errough for the undertanding of this action. The aim of this work ia to understand the influence of culture in the way of acting, thinking of each persons, assimilating the meaning of each human action, always relating it to its context It a important to reconstructthe story of each patient, not only conceming the himaelf but also his cultural and social environments.A complexidade das questões que emergem da prática assistencial com indivíduos de procedências diversas e muitas vezes diferentes do próprio terapeuta, mostra-nos que uma visão cindida do homem é insuficiente para a compreensão de sua ação. Este trabalho pressupõe, então, a compreender a influência da cultura no agir e pensar de cada indivíduo, aprendendo o significado de cada ação humana, relacionando-a sempre ao seu contexto. É necessário reconstruir a história de cada paciente, não no que diz respeito somente ao individual, mas também ao seu coletivo e cultural.
