Abstract

The surface chemistry of carbons can be examined from the points of view of the organic chemistry or of the structural properties of the materials. Referring to (i) reversible and irreversible adsorption of vapours on carbon surfaces and (ii) metallic derivates - carbon interactions, it was shown that both approaches are complementary. © 1989, Walter de Gruyter.
