Abstract
Objective: To identify the scientific production factors related to the construction of professional competencies for nurses' health care. Methods: This is an integrative review care strategies, entrepreneurship, care and team management, health education, nursing consultations, technical procedures, articulation of the care network, organization of the service, and qualification of the team, but who suffer some individual, organizational, institutional and social limitations. Conclusion: The professional competencies of nurses are related to their knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for the development of direct or indirect quality care, but which have limits to their performance that are expressed in the organizational, institutional, social, and individual spheres.
