Abstract
Cloud computing is becoming more popular due to its ability to deliver low-cost services on a pay-as-you-go basis. Many techniques have been developed to improve services. However, one of the most significant challenges in this field is deciding how to compare new approaches based on various performance constraints. Experimenting in a real-world environment is challenging and costly. As a result, several studies concentrate on creating cloud simulation tools that can represent the real-world cloud environment. Therefore, this work presents a comprehensive analysis of 25 tools for cloud computing to select the appropriate one. This will advise readers on how to choose the right tool to test their technique. Furthermore, the review will allow researchers to compare the most common cloud simulators in terms of architecture, strength, limitations, and supported model.
