Abstract
This research is an experimental study depending on 4 x 3 model (experiment1, experiment2, placebo, control grouped, pre-test, post-test, following test) which aim stop resent the effectiveness of Social and Emotional Education Program and Self-Esteem Enhancement Program aimed at enhancing self-esteem of children in preadolescence period. The study group of the research is selected from 5th grade students of Ankara one Primary School. Statistical analysis are made on data obtained from Harter's Self-Esteem Profile for Children which applied two months after the application (following test), just after the application (post test) before the application (pre-test) on condition of each group containing 8 low self-esteem students and 2 high self-esteem students. The possibility of a significant difference between The Harter's Self-Esteem Profile for Children pretest, post-test, and following test. Points obtained from groups are controlled with analysis of variance. For repeated measures. Bonferroni test is utilized for reaching the source of basic affect and interaction among groups. The findings of the research showed that there is a satisfying increase in self-esteem score of students received Social and Emotional Education Program and Self-Esteem Enhancement Program more than the control group. The results also showed that this effect is permanent. Research findings are interpreted after discussing them with the research findings made in similar fields before.
