Abstract

The article presents original scientific research from the area of risk management, business processes (BPM) and decision support systems. It renders business areas in which it is possible to reduce risk and improve efficiency in making more accurate business decisions (DSS). Business processes and related decisions are a key element in the operation of each institution. They set the pace of activity, determine the company’s competitiveness in the case of business operations, or rationalise the basic activity of a given entity. Adaptive Case Management and workflow and information within BPM have a major impact on the pace, flexibility and quality of decision-making. When decision-makers and knowledge workers have access to increasingly accurate and up-to-date trusted source of information, along with the analytical tools to make sense of it, their organisations benefit from more informed decisions and more consistent outcomes than ever before.
