Abstract

" Voluntourism " or volunteer tourism is a new dimension of tourism that im-plies that tourists offer their services or affords to change some aspect of so-ciety for a better place to live and receive value from their tourism experience. The objective of this paper is to analyse the demand of volunteer tourism in a developing country case study in the Northeast of Thailand. This study is a quantitative study and data were collected from surveying volunteer tourists. The results found that there were four factors that affect the demand for vo-lunteer tourism including motivation, attitude, expectation and need. The sta-tistical significances of the goodness of fit indices are Chi-Square = 5.32, df = 2, p-value 0.06978, RMSEA = 0.069.
