Fluidized bed combustion research and development in Sweden: A historical survey

Abstract

A survey is made on research and development related to fluidized bed boilers in Sweden during the past two decades, where several Swedish enterprises took part: Generator, G?taverken, Stal Laval (ABB Carbon) and Studsvik. Chalmers University of Technology contributed in the field of research related to emissions, heat transfer and fluid dynamics, and some results from this activity are briefly summarized.
