Abstract

This study discusses the game development media on al-Jabar operation material. This study aims to: 1) develop learning media for a game up down games, 2) the feasibility of Game Up Down learning media, 3) increase motivation to learn mathematics in class VIIA SMP Raudlatul Ulum Gondanglegi 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were 26 students of class VIIA SMP Raudlatul Ulum Gondnaglegi. The data collection technique is done by using a questionnaire or questionnaire. Data analysis techniques on the feasibility of media with quantitative descriptive and motivation to learn using t-test paired sample test. The results showed: 1) Development of Up Down Game Learning Media through five stages, namely: a) Analysis Phase, b) Design Phase, c) Development Phase, d) Implementation Stage, e) Evaluation Stage. 2) Feasibility Level of Up Down Game Learning Media based on an assessment by 2 Material Experts (Junior High School Lecturers and Teachers) and 1 Media Expert. The Up Down Game Learning Media is very feasible, it is known that based on the assessment of the Material Expert, the average score of Lecturers is 4.8 and SMK Teachers are 4.5 in the "Very Appropriate" category, Media Experts with a score of 4.3 in the "Very Appropriate" category. 3) Up Down Game Learning Media can increase Learning Motivation marked by the average score per child increasing from 73% to 83%. Increased Mathematics Learning Motivation by 9%. In the paired-sample t-test results obtained a correlation of 0.542 and count of -6.890 which shows a significant difference between before and after using Up Down Game Learning Media.
