Educação midiática, cultura digital e as fake news em tempos de pandemia

Abstract

MEDIA EDUCATION, DIGITAL CULTURE AND FAKE NEWS IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC   Abstract: Faced with the need for teachers to help students deal with infodemia, since classrooms are currently embedded in a digital culture, a survey was carried out with the objective of presenting the possibilities of developing a critical sense in students in relation to the information that surrounds them. To this end, in 2021 a survey with a qualitative approach was carried out. According to the objective outlined, the type of research was descriptive. As for the technical procedures, it was opted for bibliographic and documental research. The results reveal the importance of media education, which encompasses the development of skills to combat misinformation and, at the same time, allows for a healthy skepticism, as the school is the environment that forms media citizens, where students build the relationship with knowledge and the information. Based on this need, this article presents 12 tips to identify fake news and suggests five educational activities that help identify these fake news.Frente à necessidade dos professores de auxiliarem os alunos a lidarem com a infodemia, uma vez que atualmente as salas de aula estão inseridas numa cultura digital, foi realizada uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo apresentar as possibilidades de desenvolver nos alunos um senso crítico em relação às informações que os cercam. Para tal, foi feita em 2021 uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa. De acordo com o objetivo traçado, o tipo de pesquisa foi a descritiva. Quanto aos procedimentos técnicos, optou-se pelas pesquisas bibliográfica e documental. Os resultados revelam a importância da educação midiática que abrange o desenvolvimento de competências para combater a desinformação e, ao mesmo tempo possibilita criar um ceticismo saudável, pois a escola é o ambiente que forma cidadãos midiáticos, onde os alunos constroem a relação com o conhecimento e a informação. A partir dessa necessidade, este artigo apresenta 12 dicas para identificar uma fake news e, sugere cinco atividades pedagógicas que ajudam na identificação dessas fake news.
